Beverly Center
The distinctive specialty boutiques of The Beverly Center reflect the diversity of LA’s styles and tastes. This is the spot to find luxury brands such as Burberry, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Prada, as well as current new designers. With more than 100 shops, it’s a great place to start your LA shopping spree.
Macy’s at Macy’s Plaza
Macy's, established in 1858, is a household name in the USA, and a visit to one of the historic department stores is a must-do on any visit. There is a store at The Beverly Center, but Macy's at Macy's Plaza has recently undergone a multi-million dollar refit, and offers a first class selection of top designer brands and a wide variety of housewares and gifts.
LA Fashion District
The LA Fashion District is 100 blocks of independently owned retail and wholesale businesses with clothing, accessories, and footwear for the entire family. It is also home to the LA Flower District, which includes both the LA Flower Market—the largest floral mart in the United States—and the California Flower Mall; the LA Fabric District, which has the largest selection of fabrics in Southern California; and Santee Alley, a famed Downtown open-air bazaar.
Animal House
Though Animal House started out as a vintage store in 1982, today it houses a carefully edited selection of 50% old and 50% new treasures: from leather jackets and vintage bags, to surfer shirts and antique Pierre Cardin scarves.
The Record Parlour
The Record Parlour is an eclectic music shop selling records from all genres, from world music to rock and everything between. The focus is on used vinyl, classic posters and vintage music equipment.
Apolis Common Gallery
At the Apolis Common Gallery every item has a story from somewhere in the world. Leather sandals were crafted by a four-person co-op in Tel Aviv; jute market bags were assembled by a collective of mothers in Bangladesh; and a women’s co-op in Nepal hand knit the ’50s-style sweaters.
