“Longitude 131° is a WOW property. When I arrived, I was welcomed with a cold towel, a glass of champagne and a personal welcome in the air-conditioned Dune House. When you are ready, they escort you to your luxury tent with a brief tour, and then leave you to soak up the view with a welcome amenity - for us it was the most delicious melting moment.”
Accommodation
"The luxury tent had plenty of room, a private bathroom, and included a well stocked mini-bar, a nespresso machine and all the modcons at the touch of a button to open blinds and fly screens. Your tent also has a huge deck with a daybed, chairs and fire.”
Service
“The staff were amazing, from the moment they met me at the airport until they waved goodbye to me at the resort. They had learnt my name before I had arrived and were incredibly friendly and eager to learn of any way they could enhance my experience here. The staff are always willing to have a conversation and share their knowledge of the area and also their way of life working at a luxury lodge. The best way I can describe the service is attentive without ever being intrusive.”
Tours
“All tours on offer are included in your stay and vary from small groups to personalised experiences. The guides are so knowledgeable of the history and culture and extremely respectful. They are honoured to be able to take guests to some special parts of Uluru and Kata Tjuta and be allowed to share some amazing stories. Some of the tours include exploring Walpa Gorge at Kata Tjuta, a sunset viewing at Uluru, a visit to Field of Lights and a short base walk at Uluru with sunset drinks at the base.”
“The tour I went on included a personal group visit to the Field of Light (exclusive to guests of Longitude 131°), followed by a dinner under the stars at Table 131 to enjoy a delicious four-course dinner and learn about the constellations. Once I returned to my tent, I ended my evening laying on the daybed on the deck with a plate of fresh aperitifs. You could even sleep out there all night for a truly magical experience.”
Food & Bar
“Simply put. Plentiful. All meals were included and featured a local flare of flavour, plus they ensure that all dietary requirements are catered for. If you get hungry in between meals, your included mini-bar is stocked with camembert, fruit paste, crackers, chips, chocolate and biscuits. All drinks were included too, and if you were looking for something new to try, the staff could whip you up something really special.”
