Serene Stargazing

The Nocturnal Wildlife and Stargazing Tour managed to stand out against an array of incredible activities. From our luxury 4WD we spotted wombats, kangaroos, wallaroos and wallabies, and learned all about their secret nightlife. Bubbly and nibbles awaited us at our stargazing destination, where we sat back to learn about the glory of the stars amidst the pitch black serenity of the Wolgan Valley night.

Luxurious Homestead Charm

An amazing blend of luxury and homestead charm made me feel immediately at home as I entered my villa. Whisper-soft linen and a Nespresso coffee machine were just a few of my favourite features, but the private plunge pool takes the cake. Its concertina doors give you the choice of total privacy or sweeping views of the sheer cliffs and rolling bushland, a perfect scene to gaze on as you drift in the gently heated water.

The views will astonish you with beauty at every turn. The valley is nestled between the Wollemi and Gardens of Stone National Parks; a haven of emerald greenery and stunningly contrasting wildlife. Views of the mighty cliff faces and lush bushland make dining in the restaurant seem like picnicking in paradise, and throughout the day the changing light reveals a hundred different aspects.

Meaningful History

I loved the time that we spent learning about the rich history of the valley and browsing through the resort’s historical memorabilia. The fully restored homestead pays homage to the Aboriginal and settler history of the site, which is recorded back as far as 1832. Charles Darwin himself visited the original homestead, and was awestruck by the natural splendour that envelops the valley.
