PART ONE

15 nights exploring South America’s Peruvian Amazon and Machu Picchu

Commence your experience in Lima with two luxurious nights at the beautiful Country Club Lima Hotel (or similar) where you will be guided through some essential sightseeing. You will then be flown to Iquitos to board the first leg of your luxury river cruise onboard either Uniworld’s Aria or Nera boutique ships. Purpose-built to enjoy the surprises of the Peruvian Amazon, these all-suite ships feature floor-to-ceiling windows, so you won’t miss a thing no matter where you are onboard. You can kayak, canoe and swim in the black waters of Yanayacu-Pucate River, learn about the traditional customs of the remote villages, let a naturalist guide you on a jungle walk, explore the markets of Nauta, search for the famous pink dolphins and other wildlife that hide along the river, participate in a paiche fishing demonstration (the second biggest fish in the world), see unbelievable giant water lilies and so much more. Once you disembark, you will fly to Cusco for two nights at the Tambo del Inka Hotel (or similar) in the Sacred Valley. Enjoy a delicious farm-to-table dinner before preparing for two days of exploring the breath-taking Machu Picchu. Afterwards, you’ll be taken by train for two nights in the Belmond Monsterio Hotel where you will stay while you spend time exploring the city of Cusco in the Andes Mountains. After Cusco, travel to Iguazu for two luxurious nights at Belmond Das Cataratas where you will visit Iguazu Falls from both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides. You will then be guided to Rio de Janeiro for a night at the stunning Belmond Copacabana Palace Hotel before your flight to Amsterdam. 

 

PART TWO

14 nights enjoying Europe’s jewels from Amsterdam to Budapest

Land in Amsterdam refreshed and ready for your 14 night river cruise onboard Uniworld’s S.S. Beatrice. On your way to Budapest, stop and admire the museums and famous canals of Amsterdam, wander through Cologne’s Old Town soaking up the atmosphere with precious free time to roam wherever you please in this gorgeous town. Come day four of this journey you’ll be entranced by the most spectacular scenery on the River Rhine, and the famous Middle Rhine Valley. Explore Germany’s fabled Rheingau, tasting Riesling made on site as you pass through Rudesheim. Stop in Frankfurt and visit the romantic Heidelberg and its Renaissance castle. When you reach Wertheim, it’s customary to try one of Germany’s best pretzels, and perhaps take a scenic bike ride before docking in the charming Franconian town of Wurzburg to visit one of the most opulent baroque palaces in Europe. Visit medieval castles in Rotherburg, the fascinating medieval town of Bamberg, and be sure not to miss the view from the top deck as you cruise the Main-Danube Canal. As a very special treat, enjoy a private Mozart and Strauss concert at Klosterneuburg. As you drift towards stunning Vienna, you’ll enjoy some of the most extraordinary landmarks in Europe, enjoying art, music, opulence and more cultural treasures than you could possibly imagine. When you finally reach Budapest, “The Queen of the Danube”, you’ll discover an enchanting city that vibrantly mixes East and West, medieval and modernity. Here, in this gorgeous and wondrous city, you’ll disembark and prepare for the next leg of your luxurious river cruise. 

 

PART THREE

7 nights exploring Burgundy & Provence

Once you arrive with your group in Lyon, board Uniworld’s S.S. Catherine for an exciting French adventure as you follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh, Cézanne and Gauguin on this exquisite journey through southern France. There’s little doubt that the same beautiful countryside and culture that inspired the Masters, will now inspire you. Cruise the Rhône and Saône Rivers, enjoying the region’s incomparable wine and cuisine and discovering its many treasures—from the medieval wonders of UNESCO-designated Avignon to Lyon’s lively riverbanks. Stroll the very streets of Arles made famous by Van Gogh. Visit Avignon’s majestic Palace of the Popes. Experience “Village Day” in enchanting Viviers, including a recital of music composed by Bach and Handel. And for those who wish for a more active exploration of the area, you can kayak on the tranquil Gardon River under the UNESCO-designated Pont du Gard, hike the steepest vineyards on the Rhône and pedal through the city designed with bike riders in mind while in Lyon. You will even experience the mesmerising Carrières de Lumières Light Show during your journey. Finish in Avignon to disembark and prepare for your flight from Paris to Hanoi for the next leg of your incredible journey.

 

PART FOUR

15 nights through Vietnam, Cambodia and The Mekong

Land in bustling Hanoi, where you will begin the last leg of your experience with two nights at a luxury hotel, guided sightseeing opportunities and a one-night Ha Long Bay Cruise. Then, you’re off to the resort town of Siem Reap in Cambodia for three nights at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort (or similar). Here, your luxury hotel becomes your base as you explore the ancient temples of Angkor Wat, an enormous complex of intricate stone buildings that is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the spectacular remnants of Angkor Thom, the royal city. Spend some free time exploring Siem Reap before travelling to Kampong Cham where you will board Uniworld’s Mekong Jewel. This stunning river queen made her debut in January 2020 and was purpose-built to glide luxuriously down the mysterious Mekong River. You will spend seven very special nights onboard and while in Cambodia, will meet local children and villagers, be blessed by Buddhist monks, discover the exotic capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, and learn about the infamous Killing Fields of the Khmer Rouge. Upon reaching Vietnam, you will visit local villages and temples, venture to Gieng Island, see the local river traders, board a traditional sampan and so much more before disembarking in My Tho and being guided to Ho Chi Minh City. Here you will enjoy an evening onboard the Saigon Princess for dinner and a dance performance before spending a few days exploring the city’s treasures. Before your grand experience ends, enjoy a private farewell dinner at Saigon Opera, exclusively for your group of travellers.
