Disney Theme Parks Debut Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

8th April 2019

A galaxy far, far away will soon be coming to Disneyland Park in California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort. The immersive experience will see guests transported to the Black Spire Outpost on the remote planet of Batuu, where they can wander around the Star Wars universe interacting with droids, ships, media screens and more using the Play Disney Parks mobile app.

There are brand new rides too. Sit in the cockpit and fly every Star Wars fans favourite ship on a brand new simulator Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Then dive into an action-filled battle between the First Order and the Resistance aboard an Imperial star destroyer on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (opening in phase 2).

After all that excitement, you’ll want to unwind with drinks and snacks in Oga’s Cantina, or stroll through a bustling street market. You can even visit the Droid Depot to construct your own astromech droid, which, once created, can also interact with elements in the land. Plus, if you don’t already have one, you can customise and build your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers.
