"My husband and I recently celebrated his birthday at Spicers Peak Lodge in Queensland. It had been on my bucket list since it opened, and present circumstance had provided the opportune time to visit. Pre-COVID, Spicers Peak Lodge was only open five days a week, but with increase in demand, it is now open seven days a week."

"The property is about a 2.5-hour lesiurely drive from the Gold Coast. As we navigated our way through the mountain ranges, we saw some  truly beautiful untouched Australian bushland. We could hardly contain our excitement as we reached the plateau and the lodge finally came into sight. The famous luxury lodge is over 1100 metres above sea level, lies on 8000 acres of land, and is enveloped by the World Heritage listed Main Range National Park and the Great Dividing Range."

"As we entered the lodge, the feeling of relaxation and inspiration was immediate. Our bags were whisked away and a glass of bubbles was offered. The open plan design of the main lounge, with its floor to ceiling windows and blue stone fireplace, created a fantastic space to simply sit back and take in the remarkable scenery and opulent decore."

"We were excited by the all-inclusive concept consisting of all meals. activities, minibar and beverages. We had originally planned on spending our three days doing great walks, mountain biking and playing tennis. However, the gorgeous spaces both indoors and outdoors was just too alluring, and instead we spent a great deal of our time sitting in front of the many fireplaces, sipping wine and enjoying the mesmerising views."

"We still did manage a walk a day and it was absolutely well-worth the effort. The vast views over the Great Dividing Range were truly expansive, stretching from the Brisbane city skyline to the Mt Warning summit. The unforgettable views were only matched by the colourful sunrises and sunsets. The property is also home to native wildlife and roaming cows."
