Her love for exploration has been the driving force behind her career, and her extensive personal travel experiences have seen her travel the globe and set sail on an extraordinary 35 cruises.
Her own travel memories run the gamut from reconnecting with family while on a road trip through Western Canada before cruising to Alaska to the thrill of a family of lions strolling just inches away from her safari vehicle on her first African safari.
Specialising in cruising and luxury travel, including great rail journeys, as well as family, multi-generational and group travel, Kirsten's expertise encompasses land, ocean, and river cruising across Europe, as well as North America, with a particular focus on Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii. She boasts a deep understanding of travel in Africa and the South Pacific, including New Zealand and is also something of a Disney expert, with extensive personal travel encounters with everyone’s favourite mouse.
Kirsten's diverse skills are further highlighted by her extensive cruise training and CLIA Cruise master accreditation.
Kirsten’s ability to anticipate and address clients' needs, even those they may not have considered, sets her apart in the industry. “I give clients answers to the questions they don’t even know to ask,” she says.
A standout for Kirsten was crafting a one-of-a-kind holiday for a client with a complex North America itinerary. Faced with 12 flight sectors, multiple destinations, a tour, and family visits, the client struggled to find assistance until Kirsten stepped in. Within 48 hours, she had meticulously organised the entire itinerary, offering valuable suggestions to make the trip smoother.
Making what seems impossible, possible, is Kirsten’s gift. She recently received a last-minute request for a highly specific cruise to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. Despite the client's inability to secure an online booking, she was able to secure the last available cabin, which happened to be the best suite on the ship. When her clients boarded, they were astonished by the size of the suite and the extraordinary views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from their expansive wrap-around balcony. It made for a sail away they’ll never forget.
